Dear Pastor and Churches,

We are very thankful for the graciousness of the Lord in being more settled here in Hua Lien and the growth both numerically and spiritually of the folks attending our new work.

Our average attendance has increased from three and four on Sunday morning and evening service to an average of six to seven. Last Sunday morning we had, in spite of a huge rainfall due to a nearby typhoon, nine people on Sunday morning and seven people on Sunday night. We want to thank the Lord for the increase. Paul wrote, "I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase." 1 Cor. 3:6

One of the ladies that had been visiting, Mrs. Yung, three weeks ago made the decision to close up her business on Sunday morning and attend church. Her decision is helping her spiritually and has been a good testimony.

Also, on August 14th after passing out a few tracts near the church we were able to talk with a young girl and her brother. The young girl decided to get saved after reading the tract and talking for awhile. Her name is Miss Lee and is 15 years old.

One other major blessing that the Lord gave us among the people that are coming is that one of the ladies, her English name is Mary, made the decision to play the electronic piano for church services. Music accompanied by a piano is a wonderful blessing.

All of these blessings of a new church being formed is due to the working of the Lord among the people, "…but God gave the increase." Through your prayers and faithful support God is able to work among these people.
