Monterrey Baptist Academy

Monterrey Baptist Academy is a Christian school for Baptist missionary children of the Monterrey metroplex. (K5 - 12) We use the A-Beka system of Pensacola, Florida. This year, we have a total of 16 students. At one time, we had a high of 23 students but since, two have graduated and are attending colleges in the area. MBA was started by Miss Debi Duryee in September of 1989, Debi is a missionary to the deaf of Mexico.

At present, we have three teachers; Mrs. Lou Ann Smith, Mrs. Susie Biven, and Miss Cathy Henning. All do a tremendous job teaching the children. I am the director of the school and take care of the daily running of the school.

Among my responsiblities are to grade the tests and quizes, record the grades, make sure that everyone is doing their videos properly. Also, I keep an eye on the students and counsel with those who might be struggling.

Cathy (web page) is a missionary who also works with the deaf people of Monterrey. She has been with us for a total of six years now and is my strong right hand person. Feel free to drop Cathy some E-mail, I am sure she would love to hear from you.

We are on the lookout for other teachers to come and help us at MBA. If you, or someone you know would like some information about a ministry opportunity at MBA, please contact me. Thank you.
