I
grew up in Dearborn Heights, Michigan and in my teen years
attended Temple Baptist Church of Detroit. Never did I dream
I would end up living in Mexico as a Missionary, but the
Lord had plans for my life. With my College and Career
deptment, I went on a missious trip to Monterrey. Here is
where I met Ron and we became friends. The Lord touched my
heart so completely on that trip that when I returned to
Michigan I gave my life to the Lord and wanted to do even
more to serve Him. Ron and I comunicated by letter and by
phone for a year and a half. We learned a lot about each
other and the Lord used that time to gradually prepare me
for life on the mission field.
For the past 15 years we have
been married and serving Him here together. It hasn't always
been easy, especially the early years but the Lord has seen
me through many challenges and never left me to handle them
alone. Elisabeth, Aaron and Ryan have brought more joy to my
life than I could have imagined. All my life I wanted to be
a Mom, and the Lord blessed me three times.
I teach at the school where my
children attend, and am able to be a part of their lives
every day. I love my job. Of course, teaching 4 grades at
the same time is quite a challenge, but I love my students
and enjoy being with them. My class consists of several
grades. Andrea Aguilar is in kindergarden. Timmy Bitner is
my only second grader. It has been my joy to be able to be
Ryan's only teacher so far. He is in the third grade now.
Sara Williams has been with me for 6 years . She is in
special education, and she is very special to me.
I also enjoy working with the
babies at church. I started a nursery and Elisabeth and I
love taking care of the babies every Sunday and Wednesday.
It seems we get new babies every week. I am thankful the
Lord is using my love for children as a way to serve Him
here in Mexico.
