Thailand, formerly Siam, is a tropical country in Southeast Asia (Indochina) populated by 60 million lost souls (302 people per square mile). It is at "the uttermost part of the earth" from Texas (12 hour time difference). In size it is a little smaller than Texas. It is bordered by Laos and Cambodia to the east, and Burma to the west. Our work centers in the Norhteast or Esan, the least evangelized and poorest area of Thailand. We are working in two provinces in Esan: Nong Kai and Chaiyaphum. There are no other missionaries working in Nong Kai. We have a mission church on the Loatian border in a Free Trade Zone where Laotian people can freely come over during the daylight hours from that closed field.
